One of the reasons for taking your holidays in the first place, is to give yourself permission to relax. Not as easy as it sounds for many of us, but here are a few good tips to consider so you can learn to relax on your villa vacation.
1. Let the days evolve
One activity per day is generally a good rule, especially if you’re travelling with a large sized group or young children.
2. Break it up
Think in manageable three or four hour increments, otherwise, full days spent driving around, exploring the sites and walking the city streets, can turn even the best of us cranky.
3. Early birds get rewarded
Many historical sites are best visited in the quieter morning hours and before the busy crowds.
4. Live like a local
Learn some key phrases of the language of the country you’re visiting. You’ll always get an “E” for effort!
5. Come home for lunch
Or at least early enough in the afternoon to take a nap, have a swim, or pour a glass of wine. You won’t regret it. After all, this is how relaxing at your villa is done.
6. Relax at the villa
We suggest you take at least one day to enjoy your villa and its beautiful gardens and landscape. Have lunch outdoors, catch up with a good book, or recall how much fun it is to play in the pool.
7. Treasure the company
And those memorable travel moments with your family and friends.
Hopefully these simple tips will have you feeling recharged by the end of your week and you’re ready to tackle what’s next on your agenda.
