9 Destinations on Our 2021 Bucket-List

Category: Insiders Guide | 12.31.2020

With 2020 now in our rear-view, we’re excited about the opportunities and experiences 2021 has in store for us. Although travel still may not be as accessible as it was, we have put together a list of our top 9 destinations on our 2021 bucket-list, with selections both close to home and across the Atlantic.

1. Tuscany

We’ll never tire of Tuscany. The small, historic, hillside towns, farming villages, and acres of vineyards and olive groves make for a holiday to remember. Whether you’re here for the gastronomic delights synonymous with Tuscany or you’re looking for a heart-pumping, cycling, or hiking adventure, the heart of Italy will deliver.

2. Provence

Vibrant colors, enticing aromas, open-air markets (that you can’t miss!), and a friendly, easy-going, local culture – there is much to explain why travelers, exiles, and artists have flocked to Provence for centuries. Enjoy village life and boules from the café de France in Goult, swim under the Pont du Gard, sip wine in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, shop in Apt, dine in Eygalieres, the list goes on.

3. Dubrovnik, Croatia

Dubbed as the “Croat d’Azur” or the “New Riviera,” the stunning beaches and exquisitely beautiful isles and harbor towns of Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast attract visitors from around the globe. But the beaches are just the tip of what there is to explore in this destination filled with old-world culture, unspoiled beauty, and ancient ruins.

4. Catalonia

Whether you want to explore the land of Picasso, Dali, and Gaudi by foot, by bike, or by sea, you’ll be amazed by the stunning surroundings that define the Catalonian landscape. Visit Barcelona for a city-escape and revel in Gaudi’s architectural masterpieces, walk along Les Ramblas and snack at La Boqueria, or trade city streets for rugged mountains and soft golden sands on the island of beautiful Mallorca. Here, you’ll find world-class cycling routes, Michelin-starred restaurants, and sought-after beaches.

5. England

England truly offers the best of both worlds. Whether you’re looking for the hustle and bustle of London or seeking a rural, countryside escape, England has it all, and it is a destination we urge you to explore. Tick off the big sites from your bucket list, from London’s museums to the Stonehendge, and then experience the hidden gems of this destination. Walk in the footsteps of Thomas Hardy in Dorset and visit the quaint market towns and river valleys, hike the dramatic hillsides in the Peak District and become immersed in the rich history – no matter where you venture off, you’ll feel like you’re in a fairy-tale.

6. Punta Mita

Surrounded on three sides by white sand beaches, Pacific Ocean waters, and tropical flora, if you’re searching for sun and sand and high-end luxury service, this is the destination for you. Punta Mita is a 1,500-acre resort with two Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses, a laid-back vibe, and world-class amenities.

7. Grand Cayman

If you’re seeking an escape from the chaos of everyday life, you can set aside your worries and stress the minute you land on this Caribbean island. Grand Cayman offers a laid-back lifestyle and focuses on life’s simple pleasures – healthy food, time spent outdoors immersed in nature, and mind and body wellness. It’s also an island made for ultimate family getaways – with villas explicitly designed for families. They offer a range of bedroom configurations and are packed with family-friendly activities such as board games, kayaks, paddle boards and even cribs and pack and plays for the little ones.

8. Palm Springs

This desert paradise is close to home and offers everything you need for some much-needed R&R. It’s been a favorite weekend getaway destination for Hollywood elites for its hip hotels, incredible restaurants, and the relaxing, soothing views of the Mojave Desert.

9. Big Sky

A destination often overlooked – and we’re okay with it because that’s how it’s kept its charm. It’s home to more than 5,800 acres of skiable terrain and is your gateway to Yellowstone National Park adventures with wildlife galore, incredible hiking, and scenic views. Whether you visit in the winter or summer, this destination is one you have to discover.
