Chichen Itza

For archaeology buffs, a trip here is a must. This was one of the Mayaā€™s largest cities and the famed Kukulkan Pyramid is one of the new 7 wonders of the world. Visit during March or Sept. to take part in the Spring & Autumn Equinox Festivals.

Cozumel

A 45-min ferry ride from Playa del Carmen, this little island packs a big punch. Take a day and visit Stingray Beach, Chankanaab National Park, the ruins of El Cedral and San Gervasio, and the shops, restaurants and bars in the town of San Miguel.

Exciting, fun-filled and family-friendly, this adventure park offers diving and snorkeling for all ages and experience levels as you explore the fascinating world of cenotes - underground caverns and waterways considered sacred to the Maya.

Xcaret Park

This eco-park is home to 40 attractions ranging from cultural celebrations to aquatic adventures. A great day trip, no matter oneā€™s age, you can go on a snorkeling tour, take part in a traditional Mayan ball game, explore underground rivers and more.
