Snorkeling

Whether you charter a boat or join a tour, head out to the Marieta Islands, a group of uninhibited islands about 20 minutes from Punta Mita. Home to a spectacular underwater scene, dolphin encounters are also a regular year-round occurrence.

Whale Watching

From November through to March each year, you can take an organized eco boat tour to watch the humpback whales. Departures are usually from nearby Puerto Vallarta, although some operators may also pick up from quays in the Punta de Mita area.

Zip line Adventure

Available through Punta Mita Adventures, in a protected tropical forest, you will zip through a stunning treetop canopy on a series of thrilling zip lines, including Mexico's longest and fastest at nearly 4,000ft. in length.

Away from the Water

There is a wealth of land-based experiences to encounter in and around Punta Mita that the kids are sure to love. This includes horseback riding, colonial tours, expeditions to visit the Sierra Madre Mountains, hot air ballooning, and more.

A huge range of eco and adventure tours, including jungle tours, mountain biking, hiking, bird watching and trips to the turtle sanctuary and swimming with dolphins are easily accessible from Punta Mita.
