This idyllic speck of sand is a protected nature preserve located just off the coast of La Romana. Loved for its deserted island feel, travel there by boat or catamaran and spend the day on the beach – complete with a good book and a cool cocktail!

Hoyo Azul

Located in Scape Park, Cap Cana, this spectacular lagoon sits at the foot of a 65m high cliff. The perfect turquoise waters of a depth of 37m at its deepest point, and after the hike in, offer a welcome cool down.

Teeth of the Dog Golf Course

This is Pete Dye’s signature course, the #1 course in the Caribbean, and the #27 ranked course in the world. Featuring 18 jaw-droppingly-beautiful holes, including 7 right along the ocean, it’s challenging but worth it.

Santo Domingo

The oldest city in the Americas, a day trip here is a great choice for history buffs. It's walled, cobblestoned historic center has a building that dates to the 1500s, including the cathedral, which was the first build in the New World.

Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park and Reserve

This protected reserve covers 1,500 acres, features 12 freshwater lagoons (5 that you can swim in) and consists of exhibits that describe the cultural and natural history of the island. There’s also a petting zoo, an iguana habitat and more.

Manati Park

The first theme park in the country, it is also home to its largest collection of animals. Enjoy 5 different shows, go for a swim in the two natural wells, and even swim with dolphins.

Dolphin Explorer

Swim with dolphins and interact with other amazing animals, including sea lions, nurse sharks, and stingrays, at this Punta Cana park. There are a variety of packages to choose from, depending on the experience you want.

Monkeyland

Nestled in the mountains, here you have a chance to observe squirrel monkeys in their natural habitat. Learn about the native plants and flowers of the area, take a tour to see the monkeys, and even have them eat from your hands.
