Each suite promises exquisite seclusion and access to a beautiful beach and cove, perfect for snorkelling, or if preferred, relax by the infinity pool or the hot tub grotto.
One of the island’s top attractions, there are 33 beaches on this 26km stretch, but it doesn’t matter where you spend the day here since they all have gorgeous white sand and turquoise water. There are also many restaurants nearby.
If you’re looking for nightlife, then The Elvis Beach Bar is the place to go. Known as party central, it has a restaurant with a rooftop patio. If you want to hear live music, head to The Pumphouse, a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
While there are 6 marine parks and 9 dive wrecks off Anguilla, if you have time for just 1 dive, head for this wreck, a Spanish Galleon that is now covered in coral. Snorkeling is also an option here since there are many calm bays and beaches.
For a little of the island’s history, this is one of its oldest buildings. Although small, it’s interesting to see the only standing plantation home left here. The free tour will take you through the kitchen, stables and slave quarters.
Offered by the Anguilla National Trust, for US$50pp you can go on a walking tour of the island. Given most of the land here is private, this in-depth tour allows you to explore the endless back roads with ease.
Anguilla’s Seaside Stables offers multiple options for kids. Children up to age 5 can ride in front of an adult on horseback for an hour beach ride, and kids age 2+ can also enjoy a half-hour pony ride if they want something a bit more independent.
Discover Anguilla’s underwater world à la 007, with a SeaBob, an underwater contraption that enables users to ‘swim like a dolphin’. Explore the island’s many amazing snorkeling sites, as you steer and dive using your bodyweight.
A great destination for kids wanting action, it features a main inflatable obstacle course that is set some 45m from the shoreline. There’s a min. height of 48”/ and anyone under 9 has to be accompanied by an adult.
A trip on the water may be the perfect way to enjoy a family outing as you explore the island by water. Several companies offer tours and private charters, with a typical day spent visiting off-island cays and different beaches on the island.
