The center of Ireland’s bloodstock industry and home to its premier race courses, Villa Grian is a delightful country residence built in the 1830s in the rustic Gothic style and surrounded by its own park with many fine old trees and a beautiful walled garden, giving a sense of privacy and exclusivity to your stay. Combining understated luxury with full home comforts, the whole house is beautifully decorated with quality antique pieces and an informal elegance that gives it a charming and welcoming atmosphere.
The drawing room is a stunning space with double height ceilings, generous sofas, a piano and an open fire, enhanced by many fine artworks, family keepsakes and beautiful Persian rugs. This is the perfect spot for relaxing after an active day out, and for coffee – or something a little stronger – after dinner. The morning room is a comfortable quiet space, with a log fire, TV and DVD player. Star of the elegant dining room is the banquet size mahogany dining table, which can seat up to 22 guests in style, complete with silver candlesticks and crystal stemware.
