A noble country estate below Cortona
**Three weeks left in 2013 - available at discounted rates**
Set in the midst of a sixty acre estate surrounded by private vineyards and olive groves sits Villa Etrusca, a recently restored, 17th-century stone farmhouse. Tastefully decorated interiors are highlighted by antique furnishings and a respect for the original architecture, providing a simple but refined atmosphere that is perfect for a large group of friends or families.
Just up the road is Cortona, celebrated by Frances Mayes in her book, Under the Tuscan Sun. It's a delightful town full of art, museums, winding cobblestone streets and Etruscan archeological heritage.
Within an hour's drive, you can visit Arrezzo, Florence, Siena or the famous super-Tuscan wine villages around Montepulciano and Montalcino. The border with Umbria is close by too, allowing for the option of day trips to Perugia, Assisi or even Todi. On other days, you might simply walk to the small neighboring village to enjoy a café, have lunch in the local trattoria and truly experience the relaxed way of life that is so quintessentially Tuscan.
Both 12 and 16 person configurations of this property are available.
